More Information About Becoming A Host:

What does Fellow Hunter provide?

Fellow Hunter simplifies bringing together a community of huntsman and property owners. We provide a platform to make finding desirable hunting land easy for hunters while making it effortless for landowners to welcome knowledgable hunters to their property. We provide daily insurance for the hunter, the landowner, and for the land itself. We also handle all of the communications to make for hassle-free reservations and payments.

Do I need to buy Hunting Insurance to be covered as a landowner?

No! We've got you covered. During any reserveration made through Fellow Hunter, you and your property are covered by Fellow Hunter's Hunting Insurance policy. If you allow hunters on your property through a service other than Fellow Hunter or no service at all, you are not covered and neither is the hunter even if he has a Fellow Hunter account.

Who are the hunters reserving my property?

Any hunter who reserves your property to hunt is someone who is covered with hunting insurance and is in possession of all legally mandated tags and paperwork in order to hunt in the hunting zone in which your property is located. The hunter has acknowledged and agreed to abide to all of Fellow Hunter's rules and to be respectul to you and your property, and all other wildlife throughout their reservation period.

Do I speak with the hunter when they arrive on my property?

Fellow Hunter allows you to continue on with your day without interruption. We will notify you when you a reservation is submitted with any details. Any special instructions you have for the hunter such as where to park will be emailed to hunter prior to their arrival. Because of this, there is no need for you to communicate with the hunter once they arrive.

How many people are allowed to hunt on my property during a booking?

Currently all properties on Fellow Hunter allow groups of four per reservation period.

When are hunters allowed on my property?

Hunters are permitted to arrive at 4:00 am to set up and must leave by 10:00 pm local time. Hunters are only allowed to hunt during your state's legal hunting hours which are normally half an hour before sunrise and half an hour after sunset. Hunting hours vary during the year but are always between 5:00 am and 9:10 pm.

What if I find damage to my property following a hunter's stay?

Each property is expected to be left the way is was when a hunter arrived. There is never tolerance for vandalism, littering or any type of property crime. All hunters using Fellow Hunter are expected to follow Fellow Hunter's Common Sense Rules during all reservations. In the instance of violation of these rules, mistreatment to you or your property in any way you find unacceptable let us know immeditely by emailing help@fellowhunter.com.
